paleo, paleo diet, diet success, diet tips, modern no nonsense guide to paleo, alison goldenWhat is the paleo autoimmune protocol is a question I often get asked so here is some information and links to help you.

Below is a table of foods you must delete from your diet and those that should be removed for 30-60 days as advised by Robb Wolf. Please know that spices (for example, cayenne, paprika, chili powder) that are part of the nightshade family are also removed in the first 1-2 months. You can add them back in to see how you react after that time.

You can also read more about it on these pages (you may need to scroll down a bit):

I regularly read these articles to keep the notion of the autoimmune protocol front and center.

Books!

  • Mickey Trescott has a recipe book just for the paleo autoimmune protocol.
  • Sarah Ballantyne from The Paleo Mom has a book, The Paleo Approach about the protocol coming out in October, 2013.

And success stories!

Everyone has suggestions about what to eliminate but no one says why each item specifically is problematic. Who determines this and based on what? TKS.

The foods that are being eliminated tend to cause Joint pain and Inflammation. Some can cause full blown allergies if you are not caring for your Gut. These are not true for everyone but you should still try it and see. It can make your Life 1000x better.

Elaine, as Aly says, these are all highly problematic foods (in different ways) that tend to cause issues in terms of immune system reactions and damage. If you google these items you’ll find out more specifics.
