I’m going to focus on the recipe books in this post. I’ve chosen my favorites, just a tiny selection of what you get in this bundle (the books alone work out at only cents apiece) and written a short review. Book Recommendation #1: Paleo Recipes for Everyday: 70 Recipes for a Paleo Lifestyle
This is an awesome book by Heather Connell of Multiply Delicious (and it’s not just because she’s a twin mommy! :-))
Beautifully photographed and organized, Heather takes us through her own journey as a girl from the South who, through ill-health found wellness again, by changing her diet. A journey many of us are familiar with.
She outlines the paleo diet and her simple straightforward explanation of what it is. Then she moves on to her gorgeous recipes – did I mention this was beautifully organized?
Her recipes are featured as:
- Breakfast: includes a Southwest Scramble, a Paleo Apple Pie “Oatmeal”, Banana Coconut Waffles and two more.
- Basics – sauces and dressings
Fabulous book with awesome recipes.
Book Recommendation #2: The Paleo Snack Recipe Book
This is by Suz Crawt, the dynamo behind the Paleo Network. I always think of her as the face of “Paleo Australia”.
In this book, she’s put together over 30 recipes and even more ideas:
- Snacks for Work
- Kids Snacks
- Simple Snacks
- Midnight Snacks
- Movie Snacks
- On The Go and Travel Snacks
- Pre and Post Workout Snacks
- Weight Loss Paleo Snacks
- After Dinner Snacks
- Drink Your Paleo Snacks
I really liked this book because her ideas were simple, but effective and easy. Sometimes snacks can get a little repetitive – nuts, jerky, over and over. But a lot of these you could put out for a party – they looked elegant and colorful.
The book was beautifully photographed and, frankly, inspiring. Great job, Suz!
Book Recommendation #3: Fast Paleo’s Top Ten Cookies
I don’t do much promotion of paleo dessert but I had to include this bonus book of Fast Paleo’s Top Ten Cookies. These were voted by readers so you know they must be good. Fast Paleo has *five* books in this bundle: a 100-recipe book, plus each of the top ten books: smoothies, cookies, ice creams and muffins. Wow.

Book #4: Restocking The Pantry: Easy-To-Make Condiments To Save Money and Nourish Your Family
And lastly, I loved, loved, loved this book by Kresha Faber.
I counted 57 recipes for condiments (same as Henry Heinz’ lucky number) including Bold & Smoky Barbecue Sauce, Cranberry & Lime Salsa, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus and Whole Grain Mustard. There’s even one for British A-1 Style Steak Sauce!
It’s a delightfully presented recipe book, fermentation going on in some of the recipes if you’re into that.
Kresha made her recipes as close to the originals as she could (and had 114 recipe testers giving her feedback!) and I’ll think you’ll agree, they are very fine. 🙂
If you love your sauces, you really need this book. As the title says, you can restock your pantry with great substitutions and the recipes are all yours for just cents in the dollar. Wow, just a good replacement for ketchup would make it worthwhile.
