This book directly resulted from a question I asked on my Facebook page – “What are you struggling with right now?” The longing and the frustration that emanated from the replies caused me to think of the times I had felt that way and I considered how I’d got over the hump, drawing on my experience of years as a productivity geek, mom, counselor and finally a paleo advocate.
I do the school run, worry over bills being paid, volunteer my time. I get my kids to do their chores, ferry them to and fro (and back again), keep my employers happy. I’ve used food when I’m happy, when I’m sad, to give me energy, to calm me down. I’m no different from anyone else and I’ve had to fight my food demons many times. But I’m mostly through the curve (you’ll learn about the curve in the book) and I’ve learned a lot on my way to get to this point. And I share what I’ve learned in the book.
